However, ear irrigation is the most preferred method to get rid of ear wax but can lead to certain complications in some cases. Ear drops are the best alternative.

According to a recent study, even ear drops without hydrogen peroxide helps in removing ear wax. You can also use distilled water to remove ear wax easily without any complications.

How To Use Hydrogen Peroxide In Removing Ear Wax?

There are many ways to use hydrogen peroxide for removing ear wax. Some of them include:

1. Hydrogen Peroxide Solution

What You Need To Do

  • Take a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in a medicine dropper.
  • Lie on your side and fill your ear with this solution. Leave it for 15 minutes.
  • Get up slowly and clean the excess hydrogen peroxide flowing outside the ear with a tissue.
  • Do it for the other ear too.
  • Do this every three months, depending upon the wax buildup in the ear.

2. Hydrogen Peroxide With Water:

This combination can easily remove the wax in the ear without any complications.

What You Need To Do

  • Mix one ml of hydrogen peroxide with one ml of distilled water.
  • Tilt your head and pour 3 to 4 drops of solution in the ear and remain in the position for 15 minutes.
  • Repeat the same process for another ear also, do this every 3 or 6 months.

3. Hydrogen Peroxide With White Vinegar:

This wonderful combination of hydrogen peroxide and white vinegar not only helps to remove ear wax, it also helps in preventing ear infections and inflammation.

What You Need To Do

  • Take one ml of hydrogen peroxide and one ml of white vinegar and mix them together.
  • Tilt your head and pour 2-3 drops of solution using a dropper and leave the mixture for 15 minutes.
  • Slowly, straighten your head up and clean the excess solution flown out of your ears.
  • Repeat the same process for the other ears too.
  • You must follow this whenever you experience a wax buildup in your ears.
